Position Overview: A successful Lead Entity Accountant takes ownership of the entire accounting, tax, and consulting process for ATBS clients with small businesses. The Lead Entity Accountant reviews clients’ financial statements and tax returns. The Lead Entity Accountant is also the main point of contact and provides insight on financial and tax information/recommendations to ensure a client’s success as a small business owner. In addition, a Lead Entity Accountant mentors and manages Senior and Entry Level Accountants to support their professional development.

Significant Responsibilities:

  • Effectively review a high volume of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, reconciliations, and tax returns completed by a team of associates
  • Proactively manage associates by providing feedback and training
  • Enthusiastically provide tax return results and tax savings recommendations to clients
  • Passionately provide high-quality customer service by proactively engaging with clients via phone and email
  • Actively support other departments and contribute to the growth of ATBS

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience in business may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Enrolled Agent certification is preferred
  • Practical, general business experience is desired
  • Previous experience reviewing S-corporation, partnership, and individual/personal tax returns
